Upgradable suits of armor (purchasable via vendors), skill points, cheats, and gold bolts have returned from previous games. Weapons can be upgraded by normal use (automatically collecting nanomites from fallen enemies) and by using Raritanium (a rare mineral found in the universe). Ratchet levels up as he defeats enemies and gains more health points. In these sections, Clank must manipulate gravity and solve puzzles to get the Nether back to the portal in order to cause an “earthquake” and destroy the barrier blocking the duo’s way. In certain portions of the game, the player takes control of Clank in side scroller-esque trips though the Netherverse. Ratchet is aided in his movement by Clank using the Heli Pack to propel himself forward, or to hover safely to the ground. In the game, the player mainly controls Ratchet, using an array of weapons and gadgets familiar to the series, but also some newer ones as well. In doing so, the Twins have brought creatures through the portal called Nethers, controlled by a leader named Mr. The game can be also used in conjunction with Before the Nexus.įollowing the escape of a notorious criminal named Vendra Prog from prison, helped by her twin brother Neftin, Ratchet & Clank discover that the Twins have created their own Dimensionator. As you can see from the trailer, Into the Nexus has a bunch of crazy new weapons and gadgets. Shorter than earlier titles in the series, it is intended as an epilogue to the “Future” sub-series ( Tools of Destruction, Quest for Booty and A Crack in Time). Under the creative direction of Tools of Destruction and A Crack in Time creative director Brian Allgeier, Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus is a story-driven platform adventure, with the humor and heart that make the franchise so beloved. Ratchet and Clank: Into the Nexus is a third person action shooter with puzzle elements.
